How to hide hard drive volume
How to hide or unhide hard disk partition in windows XP/7/8/10
- Press START + R
- A new Window Will open In this window type "diskpart" and press enter
- A command prompt window will open, in this window type "list volume"
- This command will show available volumes on your computer.
- Now, select a volume with this command "select volume 2"(Hint:Volume number can differ)
- After this give this command "remove letter D" (Hint: Select letter according to your volume number)
- Now go to my computer this selected volume will not be available.
NOW to unhide the volume
Give commands as describe above from 1 to 5
After this give command "assign letter D" (Hint: Give the same letter that you removed earlier)
That's all the volume will show again.
Note: This will not harm your data or your data will remain in volume
